I think we all looked at this one.
He does, and he's written books about the Avalanche too, so we'll throw that one on the fire.
So here becomes the question.
When the Avalanche won in 22, I think we all looked at this team and said,
that's not the only cup this team is going to win.
Like we're looking at a team that's going to like rip off like two or three minimum, like two or three Stanley cups.
They are that good.
Do we look now here in 2026 and say, it's only been the one cup and they need to change direction or is it, there's still an elite team chalk it up to injuries here and stay the course.
I,
I keep going back and forth because whenever I say like, no, they're really good, stay the course, stay the course, there's that thing in the back of my head that says, Merrick, you were saying this team's going to win three Stanley Cups and they still haven't won another one going back to 22.
I'm just saying, you don't know.
You don't know.
John Tortorella.
I had to.
come in for these could this be a trend i guess is what i'm asking could like if vegas doesn't keep tortorella could he do the same thing with another team next year computer lobby yeah this is the the larry robinson the lou lamarillo could we see this now as as as a tactic you're not feeling too great about your team two weeks before playoffs well guess what well
Um, not that you want to base all your decisions on what fans want.
There's the old saying, if you listen to your fans for too long, soon you'll be sitting with them.
But what do fans want to happen here?
Like what do Avalanche fans want?
Do they want run it back?
