So part of it was actually, you know, re-evaluating things and probably realizing that, well, my weekends are going to be sewn up with work for a wee while, so...
I didn't really have time to go out and socialize as much as I thought I did.
And so I knocked drinking on the head, knocked drinking on the head.
So I've been sober for about 16, 18 months now.
And so in and around the same time, I thought I'd just kind of make a commitment to myself and
and uh and kind of mark it so that was that was the sort of thinking behind the tattoo and mate it's been an absolute game changer for me personally like i've really really loved the last sort of year and a half um it's been a yeah it's been a change but back in back in the gym every week and um and just focusing a lot more on on work and and it's it's brilliant yeah yeah what's your training regime look like in a week like how
But as you get a bit older, like, you know, like I sort of did the old lower back the other day, sent me to the physio for a couple of sessions, some acupuncture.
So I'm trying to do a strength program and just stay in as good a nick as I can.
And I think as you get older too, you realize how important stretching is.
I was never a โ I'm not sure about yourself, mate, but I was never a massive โ
massive uh exponent of stretching but these days uh i'll try and sort of set aside a bit of time but that's mainly just moving it's doing something it's mainly the mental side of it so i think i think when you're um when you're in the gym um for me at least it's kind of a form of peace really like if you said sit with your legs crossed and and meditate for 20 minutes i probably couldn't do that but if if it's going to the gym you can clear your head going for a run or getting on the bike going for a ride
Those are the sort of things that I think are key and especially in a busy role like I've got, I think it's nice to have balance and be able to break away.
And, you know, you've done some great stuff on your podcast in and around mental health.
And I think that's fitness and exercise is the best way you can kind of keep your mind quiet and sort of chill out, which I really enjoy.
Like, I think I haven't really looked at the scale or anything like that.
I've kind of just been more just getting into it and worrying less about how much I've lost.
