So this is going to be a story that continues and hopefully, as you said, continues on a positive trajectory.
But the reality is,
Major League Baseball and the MLBPA right now could not be farther apart.
And it's not just in terms of money that they couldn't be farther apart.
It's the philosophy.
It's the fact that Major League Baseball wants to completely upend and change the system that has governed the sport.
since the the first collective bargaining agreement between the sides and the players want to look at it right now and say status quo is working for the game the game is in a great place why would we change things up right now so it's almost like they're speaking different languages at this point and here's the thing the language of mlb at this point
which has put a salary cap in place, is very appealing to a majority of fans out there.
And that's what the Players Association is fighting against.
It's against the narrative that salary caps are necessary to have competitive balance in baseball.
