That sports has come to that rather than in a lot of cases, like, Hey, let's watch the game.

The conflict that I have trouble reconciling here with you is that you are very pro-

become a statistically inclined and based franchise, right?

That tends to be antithetical to go out and grab somebody now when you have to pay above retail.

It's just a matter of consistency in thinking, I think.

And generally speaking...

Most franchises that operate that way, whether it's the Rays, whether it's the Brewers, etc., do not go chasing and creating markets that aren't there already.

And so it's a fine line, I think, between, yes, let's run ourselves in this very, not just efficient, but kind of conservative manner.

versus, hey, we got a chance to win, let's go out.

Like, reconciling those two things, there can be some inconsistencies there.

And if you are a process-oriented team, inconsistency is what you try to avoid the most.
