And, you know, Black Hills load I mentioned displayed an odd anomaly.
Thin rings of copper material were left behind at the forward edge of the chamber every couple of shots.
The rings prevented following cartridges to chamber fully.
Blah, blah, blah.
OK, so it apparently does happen.
So but for whatever reason, this guy happened to get away with it in terms of not causing damage.
An uncommanded mag dump.
There's a question here.
Is it better to bring up the temperature quickly or slowly?
He's using a flame annealer.
I don't have any firsthand knowledge there.
And then there's another question about how does bulge-busting cases weaken them?
Basically, it doesn't weaken them.
It work hardens them, and then you lose elongation at failure.
