Jamie must have told him because somehow she knew where I was, and somehow she knew my phone number and told him. So I did see her again. I didn't work with her ever again. But I would see her in the hallway on occasion. And yeah, I saw her and she had somebody that was working with her. And she kind of ignored me. She moved on. And I just kind of said, oh, you know, Jamie, hi, good to see you.

And I introduced myself to her, the person with whom she was working. But like I said, it just seems like that person Chapter was closed. She had really no desire to speak with me. And I was fine with that. That was that. And after that, I remember seeing her in the hallway. And I said, oh, hi, Jamie. And I remember she looked at me kind of sideways. But she grabbed on to...

The gal that was working with her grabbed her arm and she smiled at me. She didn't hug me, she didn't ignore me, but she acknowledged me, but that was about it. She was friendly, but it wasn't the same. And that's okay. One time when I was substitute teaching, I became friendly with a gal And she said, oh, you know Jamie? And I said, yes, I used to work with her when she was at the middle school.

And she said, oh, I worked with her too. And I found her to be very, how would you say, intuitive. And I said, oh, yeah, I know exactly what you mean. We all have, you know, our gifts in life. And sometimes people dismiss others for being a little different. I know that Jamie was an extreme case and she had incredible gifts.

But even if she didn't have these gifts, Jamie was somebody who shared the same insecurities as a typical eighth grader would. Jamie had a wicked sense of humor as a typical eighth grader. Moody, as a typical eighth grader, she just wanted to be treated like everybody else and understood. You know, you grow up thinking there are certain things in life. There's life and there's death.

And when we die, that's it. I was experiencing somebody who was able to read my thoughts and I still can't wrap my head around that. I still don't understand how that's possible. That somebody was able to see me without being in my company. My reality shifted, and I started questioning everything. I questioned whether I was even alive or not. I questioned everything.
