It was actually just whole-scale murder against the Irish people by Cromwell and his forces.
We have Cromwell Road, Cromwell Green, Cromwell this, Cromwell that.
Now, yes, he was the lucky leader of the parliamentary forces.
He was not the founder of it.
The one we should be venerating is John Lilburn.
The fellow we haven't heard of.
The leader of the Levellers.
