So that was the most restrictive.
You would see guys in the all-star game wearing all white cleats, but they couldn't do that during the regular season if you were on the Cardinals.
you had to have at least 51% of your shoe was red.
And so I played with the Orioles after I was with the Indians, my first team, and black and orange, there wasn't a ton of selection.
A few, one or two Nikes here, a couple of Puma or whatever other brand you might have worn, Under Armour, probably had the most being there in Baltimore.
But I remember asking my agent, hey, I want to pitch in something different.
I want to find a black and orange shoe that's not just the standard shoe.
And I found a pair of Air Jordan 1s and he found a company called Custom Cleats.
We put cleats on the bottom of them and I got to pitch in cooler cleats than I otherwise would have.
And, you know, that's kind of where the idea began.
And I just...
I had the opportunity to meet Anthony, who is the original owner of Custom Cleats, the founder of it.
And he did a fantastic job of growing an amazing business.
And later on, after being a partner with him, suddenly I get the chance to be the full owner of it and just trying to carry on what he was able to start.
And now the doors fly wide open on what's allowed in Major League Baseball on the field.
And players are now, you know, you probably can't find hardly any players that have a cleat with two colors on it
I think it was 2009 or 10.
I don't remember the exact year.
Actually, I was facing the Yankees when I wore the black and orange jersey.
Oh, what was the, it had like a name to it, a black and orange air Jordan one high.
