And then I was invited to be a broadcaster with the Kansas City Royals on their local television network.
And so I took that and then I worked with MLB as an ambassador and it kind of all came at once.
I went from nothing to do to so much to do that maybe at times it's too much.
And that took about another eight months from once I returned from Houston to get it all aligned.
And now over the past three and a half years, I've kind of been refining it and figuring out where to put the time, where to put the energy.
Travel.
Travel and be with players.
I got a chance this past summer to be the 12U pitching coach for the Spanish national team.
And they went to Hungary, of all places.
And they were in the Pool B, which is the lower level of accomplishment for the European Championships.
Teams I remember were Poland, Slovakia, Great Britain was there, Lithuania was there, Hungary, the host country, Spain.
And out of eight teams, we placed first.
And so now we qualify this year to go to the European Championships in Pool A, which will have kind of the bigger dogs, the Netherlands, the Frances, Italy's.
And so we're really excited about that.
That will be at the beginning of July.
And it will be just outside of Paris
That's probably my thing that I enjoy the very most.
I do baseball clinics with the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association.
They're called Legacy for Youth Baseball Clinics.
They do them domestically all over the country here in the U.S., and then they do about 20 or so international, mostly in Spanish-speaking countries.
