The Islanders, the other night, lost a game that was relatively embarrassing, as they admitted.
Last night wasn't embarrassing, but they still wound up losing to the Sabres 4-3.

They would get an empty net goal.
The Isles would score with a couple of seconds left before three was the final.
So that's two in a row for the Isles, who were not helping themselves in terms of their quest for a playoff spot.
Now, two teams that will not be in the playoffs are the Rangers and the Devils.
