And he also, whenever we got our reports from school, he'd go, and I do it with my kids now.
It's a family tradition.
He'd go, go and get the wooden spoon.
And so you'd go and get the wooden spoon, and then he'd sit it on his armchair, and then he'd go through his report.
He'd go, well, I need to use this today.
He would grab it before he read the report, just in case.
Put it on the arm of the armchair.
What if it was a good report?
It was never a good report.
He never used it.
And there were some pretty ordinary reports in there.
Never terrible reports, but pretty ordinary.
There was a lot of could-do-betters.
They're slipping, but, you know, they're still in there.
They're ingrained.
Once they're there, they're there forever.
It's interesting how far people will go, though.
I mean, using your fingers.
Just talking about manners.
The other thing we were mentioning yesterday during the manners discussion was around towels.
