You've worked really hard.
I can see how it would be really frustrating to say, well, I would love $100,000.
Like I'm working really hard and I'm not getting that same level of support.
But I guess the flip side is, is God forbid something went wrong.
I assume that your parents would offer you that same kind of assistance if you needed it.
You're just fortunate to not be in the position where you do.
I guess the question of the will is a little bit crazy to me.
And we've touched on wills before and we've said it's up to the person passing what they do with their assets, their life's work, their whatever.
If they want to split it evenly, if they want to divvy it up percentage-based, if they want to donate it all to the lost dog's home, it is totally up to them what they want to do with their money.
I can understand that you feel this way.
You've raised this conversation.
You're entitled to raise the conversation.
But if your mum has then said, no, I don't want to do that, who are you to tell her otherwise?
Mm-hmm.
I think the unfortunate thing is, is that if your needs have all been met, you know, you were raised with everything that you needed.
Your parents provided you a roof over your head and food.
Maybe they helped with school.
I don't know, whatever.
If they met all of your needs, that's kind of where their obligations end.
And I guess that's a whole bigger conversation around, well, when you bring a child into the world, what are your responsibilities?
