um i thought my career was going to come to an end uh but you know this is far more serious than what you're going through right now and i you know i've been describing this as the jailing journalist uh phase of donald trump's authoritarian project and he's playing for keeps and i think this is not just a message directed at you it's directed at everybody in this country

yeah well and i hate that i honestly hate that crap because you know there's a lot of professional envy and jealousy in our business and it brings out the worst in people but as i've been saying and i've done a couple of hits on ms about this like you know we we just have to support you in all this and i you know i consider you a friend um and a colleague and of course a fellow fellow journalist

And what are we going to do?

I mean, we're not going to support one another right now.

Like, give me a break.
