My protagonist is inspired by my oldest daughter, who is the lead prosecutor in the P. Diddy case today. And so I get a lot of feedback about the story and about the particulars because I want to keep it current. And they helped me a lot with that.

I sit there with it open and my fingers in the keyboard and just say, okay, Kenny, what is he saying now? And that makes it easier for me than a made-up character.
