Hello, Chris.
Good to talk.
Hope all is well in the south of France.
I want to start today by talking about the UK elections.
OK, the results are not fully out yet, but they will emerge during the day.
We're recording this on Friday morning.
But it appears that Labour and the Conservatives, particularly Labour, has taken a serious hammering
Nigel Farage is absolutely cock-a-hoop at the moment, taking a lot of Labour seats particularly.
So he's now setting himself up as the next prime minister very much.
And for the Labour Party, it's probably the worst.
I think it is going to be the worst election result for any party this century.
Ed Miliband, there's a story in The Times that says
He has set a time, or at least he has told Starmer to set a timetable for his departure.
Miliband obviously is denying that.
In Scotland, the SNP and in Wales, Plaid Cymru are securing nationalist victories.
So it is a pretty cataclysmic day today.
in terms of the UK political backdrop, and particularly for Keir Starmer.
But Chris, you're much closer to this than I am, not geographically at the moment, but in terms of your understanding.
So I'll let you off.
What's your interpretation?
