maybe our level of expectation was a hell of a lot lower then.
And, you know, we were happy.
You know, we explored the stuff all teenagers did at that stage.
And it's all very exciting.
But still, if you stand back and look at it, it was a pretty grim landscape.
And these populists like Farage that are telling us they want us to take us back there, that things were much better.
It's utter bullshit.
But that's the nature of populism.
Yeah, almost.
Chris, I would just like to point out you talk about the way money has destroyed politics.
That is not the case in Ireland.
Good.
You know, I think Ireland is still very much immune from those sorts of forces.
And as I see it,
Virtually every politician that's in the Dรกil that I would be aware of and some I would vehemently disagree with, but I would struggle to identify somebody
you know, of that, that's so heavily influenced by finances in the way that Farage, Trump.
So I think Ireland, we may criticize the political system in terms of its incompetence in some ways.
But at the end of the day, I think there are a lot of decent people still involved in Irish politics who actually want to do the right thing.
