For young people coming out of college, this is a real challenge.

Another issue revolves around taxation revenues.

In Ireland, for example, income tax typically accounts for between 35% and 38%.

of the total tax take.

If it is high paid jobs and the number of jobs that are affected by this, it's going to have implications for income tax.

So where does the state raise money to fund public services, infrastructure, etc.?

And there is, I guess, the broader political thing about the

public backlash against this.

We saw three weeks ago in Ireland pretty damning protests over the energy crisis.

And, you know, government came out yesterday, Wednesday, with details of a package of measures costing 750 million in total to date.

And

So, you know, how are people going to react to rising inequality, to less income tax available to pay for public services, to less young people being, are young people finding it more and more difficult to get their first job?

You know, what sort of political backlash will you get against that?

I mean, will Sinn Féin be coming out blaming everybody, blaming the government for this?
