You know, he makes the argument that so many companies are talking about the efficiency gains that they're going to get from AI, that even if a portion of this materializes, one of the biggest positive supply side shocks ever seen would result.
And he was arguing that the Federal Reserve should assess the effects of AI and new technologies on inflation and the dynamics of inflation before making any interest rate decisions.
So clearly, he does not believe that the Fed should increase interest rates or indeed cut interest rates in the current environment of so much uncertainty.
And that feeds into Kevin Warsh, who is due to take over as chairperson of the Federal Reserve in May.
