Well, it was to make the Middle East safer and more prosperous by taming Iran.

That has blatantly failed.

The Middle East is now a hell of a lot more dangerous and volatile than it was.

Toppled the regime.

If anything, I think they've strengthened the regime.

Okay, Ali Khamenei has been taken out.

But the Islamic Revolutionary Guard now appears to be a hell of a lot stronger than it was before February 28th.

So there's a failure there.

Stopping Iran from becoming a nuclear power.

Has that been achieved?

Well, it depends on what day of the week you listen to Trump.

You know, at some stages he was arguing their nuclear capability has been destroyed.

And yet he was turning around and saying they were incompetent.

capable of delivering a nuclear capability within weeks.

But when you think about the war, what has been achieved, all of the aims appear to have failed to materialise.

It has caused massive problems

global consternation.

What we've lived through, the lawlessness we saw on the streets of Ireland last week, for example, just shows how fragile democracy is anyway.

And the Iranian crisis has obviously given another excuse for people to get out there and complain about absolutely everything.

So you'd have to say it's just been one unmitigated shit show.
