So it's just an idea I had that Kevin Trimble, they often jets have to take some risks and they, a risk would be to swallow $11 million, but potentially have an 80 point player by doing it.

No, it's not.

And that's why it's imperative.

Like, you know, half this town has spent since the season ended saying, sell everybody, get rid of Hellebuck, get what you can for them.

And I just don't think that's feasible.

And also Winnipeg is not going to do that.

I don't think Kevin Chevalier from the brass have got this core here, understanding how hard it is to get people to come here and play here and remain here.

When you have these pieces, you cannot give up on them.

And I also argue that, and we've done this for over a month, and it's actually gotten my ire up a little bit with some of our fans and our listeners, is that you will never win a Conor Hellebuck trade.

But even if you were going to trade him, his value will not have gone down next year.

And we have people call in and say he's a diminishing asset and all that.

And I don't see it unless he loses a limb.

or you know has some other issue this coming season the shine on Connor Hellebuck won't be any less I you know he's 8.5 million dollars for another four years he just won an Olympic gold medal he just came out and said I want to win and I want to win in Winnipeg but I'm not happy we kept running the same thing out over and over again and I'm not happy that I had more deflective shots and more

Their defensive system lost them.

We can go on and on about that.

But I don't see another season, even if it went the way it went this year, and all of a sudden everybody's like, oh, Connor Hellebuck's done.

I don't see that at all.

I think that you have to fix this this summer and give these guys who literally re-signed here because they were promised they would have a chance to win every season to go with this core.
