It's hard to tell exactly how consumers are weighting inflation in different parts of the economy, but certainly all of these things are weighing on them.
Gas prices were mentioned by almost 40% of consumers completely unprompted.
By and large, the consensus is that the pain of prices is widespread.
Essentially, over the course of the month, consumers' views of the economy just continued to deteriorate.
Consumers had already been feeling pretty negative about the impact of gas prices, the Iran war, and those price developments and inflation developments.
But now they're really starting to worry that the pain of this is going to persist into the long run.
