And people who were equipped or not equipped just did it because they had to do it.
Do you know what as well as I find fascinating?
That considering how essential pregnancy and birth is for the human race, how it is still...
It can be such a catastrophic process for women.
And I've told this story many, many times, but the story will get me to the point of my actual story, is when Vogue wanted me to go in and do this Kegel chair thing with her, right, in this postpartum physiotherapy place in London.
And I went in.
And I ended up being the one who had to have Kegel treatment and Vogue just bounced out with the fucking perfectly tight vagina.
And my mind kind of flatlined on this machine.
So anyway, I started going in.
I missed the line, which is something apparently is very common.
But I was chatting to Maria is her name.
And she is a postpartum physiotherapist and she was talking about like the amount of women who come in whose bodies now this is this is just this is nothing to do with why I would not do it.
And whose bodies are destroyed from birth.
And I was like, this is.
mental like you think at this point it's 2025 you'd think it would be such an easy they'd almost come out like a boiled egg in a shell and then it was just like women would just be popping out well I do honestly feel like it would be like that if men had babies but this is the thing you're like what would the difference be research and work put into women's healthcare we're even dying in childbirth there's
There's another podcast recommendation I have for you.
It's a podcast by The Guardian about an online group of women who are encouraging free birthing.
free birthing yeah are you aware yeah and a woman an Irish woman died yeah yeah it's so sad yeah and there's kids and a lot of them that not a lot but like there's children they're having these home birth like and we're talking raw dog and completely not so much as an appointment not so much as a scan nothing no medical intervention yeah it's and it's really hard because
you know there there is so much about the birthing experience which can be really unsatisfactory and there are women who have legitimate fears about the you know the process that's in place and that's why things like this become so popular yeah but it's so dangerous yeah it'll break your heart have you you should listen to the podcast it's really really good because one of the women whose name escapes me now who um kind of is one of the leads of this movement i guess yeah um there's dodgy like it's all a bit dodgy and of course there's money to be made and you know you
