I did read a bit of Fallen again for today, and I was shocked by just how much it holds up because there's a movie, I don't know if you've seen it, came out in 2016, which is horrifically bad.
If you watch the trailer, it will spoil the whole book for you, but if you read the book, you'll be surprised by how much better it is than the movie.
