Yeah, there is something to it, as clichΓ©d as it kind of can be.
Michel Platini's given a pretty interesting interview.
I hadn't really heard from him in a very long time.
He was speaking to The Guardian yesterday
Platini, obviously a phenomenal player back in the 80s in particular, three-time Ballon d'Or winner and then became UEFA president.
He was the UEFA president for nine years.
It ended in disgrace, really.
So he's been speaking from his home in the south of France.
He's now 70 years of age.
And...
He's just reflecting on how it all went wrong for him.
So he says, I was destined.
And he kind of was.
I mean, when he was the UEFA president, his nine years, the sense was he would replace Seth Blatter.
I was destined to become president of FIFA.
Everything happened because they didn't want that.
He talks in this interview a lot about how they didn't want it.
He didn't say exactly who he's talking about.
He says the ban was a big injustice.
It was political.
