quandaries maybe for people perhaps maybe it's not with the Irish Open Donald Trump's obviously been busy at the moment in all sorts of ways like Conor McKeown was writing about that saying there'll certainly be protests as for a boycott by people dot dot dot I don't know like with an email or two in someone saying it's a ludicrous suggestion that people should boycott this with Trump um
I don't think there will be a mass boycott.
The Irishman will sell out.
the importance of America to the Irish economy can't be overstated.
And so Neil Martin and the government are very much playing in that direction.
Even like it was striking last week, Neil Martin was over on very much on bended knee in China.
Now, were you to list out, I mean, you just have to Google what China is doing to the Igor Muslims and you want to cry for it.
You know, it's shocking, like shocking.
You couldn't dream up some of the
things they're doing.
There's no great qualms about that.
Everyone said, great China trade deal.
Great.
My suspicion is the majority of people don't love Donald Trump.
They think he's, you know, nefarious presence in the world, but they look at the importance of American companies to the Irish economy.
And deep down, they're like, look, bread on the table is important.
Are we going to tank our economy in the name of taking moral stands?
I think the majority of people
even though they mightn't cheer him on loudly, they look at Neil Martin playing the game in the White House in St.
Patrick's Day, doing everything they can to keep economic links open.
