I think there was a brief chat about the Leinster Championship.

I was waiting patiently to hear what the thoughts were about Westmeath versus Meath.

And I'm fairly sure it wasn't even spoken about as a possibility that Westmeath could win.

And the chat jumped straight away to who Meath would be playing in the Leinster final.

To make up for this total dismissal of the Lake County men, I feel there needs to be a dedicated episode on this game alone with Westmeath and moat native Frank Roach front and centre.

Yeah, good on Westmeath.

Nobody saw it coming.

Frank Roach is writing about it in today's paper, pages 42 and 43.

Poddy, I'm not sure we'll do a full episode with Frank, but he notes a fortnight ago, Westmeath were 50 to 1 long shots for their second ever Leinster title.

and he notes that Westmead's main men have played their way into form this year their forward movement link play and efficiency have stood out yes Longford were poor and Meath almost as porous but they've amassed 9.43 in two games 9.37 of that from play Luke Loughlin 2.8 has led the line there are worries about his hamstring against Kildare upcoming but he mentions Shane Corrigan with 3.5 Brandon Kelly 2.3 so they are free scoring Westmead
