'Radioactive' - Ep. 4: The Investigators
My name is Joe Royer, and I'm an investigator. I'd like to know if I could come by and speak with you or if you'd be interested in talking to myself and one of the other investigators on this case we're working on. What case is that? The Karen Silkwood case. About your involvement in your investigation of Drew Stevens and Karen Silkwood.

And I don't know if you're aware of this or not, but that is against the state laws for an agency such as the Oklahoma City Police Department to be involved in wiretapping. Only federal officials or federal law enforcement people can engage in this. You know, the information you gave to me was to illustrate that they, yes, they were involved in it.

Well, we're trying to find out who exactly tapped Karen Silkwood. And it looks like right now that the most logical person in line would be the OCPD. Because they had all the equipment available at that time in 1974. And it's obvious that they were capable of doing this because of what you told me about transcribing what you refer to as the log tapes.
