So while the I told you so's are absolutely on the table and the Penguins deserve to have their moment and tell everybody you had no idea what the blank you were talking about with this team.

Let's actually take a look at that.

So, yes, Josh gets off.

Everybody had this team as a lottery team for a really good reason.

They were a lottery team waiting to happen.

They were.

I don't care what anybody says.

They were.

And then they went out under Dan Mews and with terrific additions from Kyle Dubas, and they proved everybody, maybe even themselves, wrong.

And credit to them.

And I'll eat crow like it's bolognese sauce on pasta limits.

That's what I imagine crow looking like.

A big bowl of pasta with red sauce and then crow sprinkled on top.

And my whole point today is we had every reason to believe that.

Correct.

And my other point today is I'm not so sure people inside that building believed anything differently.

I'm not so sure they did.

I think in the early going, they started to gain belief and then it snowballed from there.

And and let's also not forget, as I mentioned, that the guy who rekindled the whole Sid's going to have to get out of here to make the playoffs because it wasn't really being talked about at the time.
