That's a great question.
The NFL said in a statement, the NFL's media distribution model is the most fan and broadcaster friendly in the entire sports and entertainment industry.
I don't agree with that at all.
But with over 87% of our games on free broadcast television, including 100% of games in the markets of the competing teams, the NFL has for decades put our fans front and center in how we distribute our content.
So I find that interesting because people obviously are very up in arms about needing to pay like $1,000 to watch NFL.
every single game if you combined NFL Sunday Ticket with all the other subscription services.
Don't you think it's gotten a little bit out of hand, though?
No, I don't.
Why the NFL?
Why not other sports?
What are they going to start putting games on now?
Apple TV?
A lot of people pay for YouTube.
The difference is when you buy Sportsnet Pittsburgh subscription, it's just one.
It's just one flat rate of...
whatever i don't know what the what the total is for it but you're paying that one flat rate yeah but i'm paying an extra rate to watch my home teams play in the nfl i get to watch my home team play for free every week the difference is it's only on that one channel you only have to pay for one thing right if you want to see everything else you have to pay for prime pay for netflix pay for this pay for that that's the difference don't watch the buck saints game don't watch the buck saints game on a wednesday night on prime video if you don't want to pay for it yeah
But you know that people just cannot get enough NFL football.
They're so consumed and sucked in by it.
Just take less.
Or if you have like DirecTV or Fios, I think you can have a package where it includes a multitude of different channels, not just individually for those streaming services.
