It was maybe a little column A, a little column B for sure.
Because they knew I was drinking.
They knew I was partying.
They knew I was doing stuff that they really didn't want to do.
Now, meanwhile, I had a job.
I was doing well in school for the most part, other than math and science.
And, you know, I was like a good kid for all intents and purposes.
But in their eyes, because I was doing X, Y, Z, I was out of control.
And, you know...
Yeah, spinning out.
And I don't think that was the case looking back on it even now.
But yeah, it was a tough senior year for sure.
I mean they controlled where we went, who we saw, what we watched, what we listened to, what we read.
It was all very much like under lock and key for the most part while I was growing up.
And my childhood is just marked with moments where I would sneak culture in without them knowing about it.
And that was like my focus for much of my adolescence was trying to figure out how to get around my parents' rules over what we could consume.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, for sure.
I mean, they had less control over what I was reading, for sure.
