It's a tension economy of social media.
And now we're moving to the new social media is these companion apps.
And that's attachment, hacking attachment.
So an economy of attachment.
How sticky can you make these bonds so that young people feel that they can never let go of these things and they're really bonded to them?
I mean, after speaking at some public events, I've had year 12 students lining up basically in tears saying, look, I want to do this degree next year, but I think that in five years that job won't even exist anymore.
Should I just wait?
And they really like feel stuck and they don't have any good advice, any good guidance.
And so I think it's too early to say, don't go to university.
Absolutely still go to university.
There's so much benefit socially and all kinds of things you mentioned.
But universities are big, big beasts.
They complex a lot of people and they're slow moving.
There's a lot of organizational bureaucracy in there.
