He actually flew into Dien Bien Phu in Indochina 10 days after the French capitulated with the UN. It was the early days of the UN, but he was the 2IC. Because the UN was there to watch the gradual, which were all the French. And he had some concerns about the Legion, albeit it's changed dramatically. So I would write to him when I was in the Legion. I'd say, hey, this is what we're doing.
