The game would feature a 10 to 12 hour single player story that per documents sent to Insider Gaming under the condition that they not be made public, involved a compelling story blending the philosophical themes of Blade Runner with kinetic action adventure gameplay. That's cool. That's me saying that.

The game began pre-production in September 2024 with the core team comprised of those who worked on the quarry. Pre-production was scheduled to end in March 2025 with the end of prototyping by September 2025. The full release was planned for September 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series consoles, PC, and the 10th gen Xbox and PlayStation systems. Really quick, what was the game?

A third-person action-adventure game, Blade Runner Time to Live, would see players play as So Leng, a vintage model Nexus 6, inexplicably still alive well beyond your limited lifespan. "'Journey from the teeming undercity of New Zurich, 2065, to the eerie remnants and the forgotten world beyond.

The description from the documents, quote, under orders to retire Rev, the mysterious and ruthless leader of an underground replicant network, you are betrayed and left for dead in a brutally hostile environment.'" And it goes on to say that as far as the reason for the game's cancellation, it was said that Blade Runner's rights owners, Alcon Entertainment, is to blame.

Specific details on what Alcon may have done aren't published to protect the sources of the information. It's understood that the game was canceled late last year. Two Blade Runner games in development, huh?

yeah there's this one or wasn't it yeah yeah yeah and the Annapurna one interesting title interesting yeah when I saw this I was like is this the Annapurna one no it's not this is a separate thing Blade Runner 2033 Labyrinth super massive games just kind of interest me um as a company and like where they're going and the things that they're doing this seems like it is less of a quarry situation maybe I don't know if it if it had combat or if it was more of a you know because it's just this action adventure type deal

Yeah. But they're doing this. They were doing this. They have Directive 8020, which is still in the anthology, the House of... Yeah, they've kind of put that at the bottom of it rather than making it a big part of it, but that's still happening. And they had a success with the quarry. They did the casting of Frank Stone, which was the Dead by Daylight universe game.

And then now they're doing Little Nightmares 3. Yeah. which is fucking bizarre. So the fact that they were also making a Blade Runner game is just... They're interesting, and I like them a lot, and I like what they do, and they clearly have found this rhythm of making things that are cool that people like in this horror genre, but it's kind of interesting that they were making a Blade Runner game.

Yeah. Hell yeah. But if the Blade Runner game came out, that would have been huge. Would have been huge news. But I'm tired of everything. Fuck. It's not as easy as you make it look. Because then I look at the thing and I'm like, what am I saying? And it's about something, whatever. If I wanted something smaller, say the tiniest news I need to know about, where would I go?
