Following an order from President Trump, the National Archives declassified and released 4,624 pages of documents on Friday.
The documents include logbooks of U.S.
military vessels,
involved in the historic air and sea search for Earhart, as well as various memos, newspaper clippings, letters, and telegrams.
Earhart and her navigator, Fred Noonan, disappeared during an attempt to fly around the world in 1937.
The National Archives said more records would be digitized and posted on a rolling basis.
And athletic gear giant Nike apparently funded a study on young athletes under so-called gender-affirming care and then pulled its funding after public backlash.

Speaking of the New York governor, New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, who recently announced her bid for governor, made some biting comments aimed at her over the weekend.
After accepting an award at an event sponsored by the Zionist Organization of America, Stefanik first ripped into Zoran Mamdani as, quote, a raging anti-Semite to fund the police tax-hiking communist.
