If Burnham was in there at that stage or Streeting, they wouldn't have done much better.
Can I just say, just a slight aside, I mean, there is a lesson here for Ireland, surely.
Because while London was thrown off all that money and it's been spent in the regions, it wasn't being spent in the right way.
They weren't developing new industry, new infrastructure and all the rest.
And that's why there's this massive divide, the north-south divide in the UK.
And it's the same for us.
Yes, northerners are much nicer.
But it's basically what Sinead O'Sullivan is saying as well.
That we're not spending our loads of corporate tax where it should be spent, infrastructure and developing new industry.
Did they not know that that would be the reaction?
