So I just thought it was a journey.

I mean, I had been on the journey myself and seen it come.

But I think now I look at it, I was probably destined.

It was what I loved and that was what was calling me.

I mean, that was my motivation the whole time since I was a child.

I just loved it and wanted to do that, whatever it was.

Yeah.

Yeah, well, I walked around for many months, you know, mulling over this whole thing.

Because right after that meeting, shortly after that, my brother Tom decided he just left.

You know, even though I kind of gave in to all the demands.

Okay, we'll do it that way.

I could see that the band was going to disintegrate.

unless I acquiesce, right?

I mean, up until then, I'd managed to keep it, don't do that.

Don't do that.

It's going to wreck us.

So when I agreed, I mean, it was literally a couple months later, Tom left.

And so now, oh, God, what's going to happen now?

So I didn't know if I was just going to call it quits or whatever.

The image in my mind was of when Elvis got taken by the colonel, just kind of pulled out of the other guys, and they left him an alert, you might say.
