And then, like magic...

Four weeks ago, they're six weeks away from building a bomb again.

Well, they were six weeks away from building a bomb in 1986, and still there was no bomb.

So I think it's high time that we start acting in the best interests of the United States rather than in the best interests of Israel.

And frankly, I don't think attacking Iran was in the best interests of Israel either.

Oh, yeah.

I believe that very strongly.

Not because Trump is weak.

I don't think Trump is weak.

I think he's actually very strong.

But because of the construct of the American political system, you know, politics run on money.

And...

The American-Israel Public Affairs Committee, AIPAC, is incredibly well-funded, and they will run candidates against you if you are not 100% pro-Israel.

And five times out of six, at least in the last election, they would win those races.

And so would you rather take...

Would you rather take $150 million for your campaign from wealthy donors and tow the Israeli line?

Or do you want to risk having them run a candidate against you and then not winning re-election?

Most American politicians fall into line.

You know, these ideas finally came to a head.
