Yeah.
I think he just maybe thought we were still too expensive for a price.
But anyhow, he didn't want to do it.
And Albertsons, we had a talk with Albertsons.
They really wanted to merge with us.
But it was obvious to me that was a very poor cultural fit.
And so then I kept asking this question.
I really believe that if you put intentionality out into the universe, things happen.
So one of my intentions I kept asking was, what's the win-win-win solution here?
What's good for our customers?
What's good for our team members?
What's good for our suppliers?
What's good for our investors?
And what's good for the larger community?
And one morning I woke up and the answer pops in my brain.
It was, what about Amazon?
I'd met Jeff Bezos at a conference the year before.
He and I had hit it off.
We had a lot in common, science fiction, fantasy, scuba diving.
We were on a panel together.
