I signed a five-year contract.

with Amazon when the merger happened.

So I had a five-year commitment, but I detail this in the book and some detail the whole story, but I was increasingly fighting with Amazon about cultural things.

And you might say that the tipping point occurred, this is back in February of 2022.

And the fight that I had with Amazon that tipped me was call back to work.

I wanted to bring our corporate staff back into the office.

And because everybody else at Whole Foods was going to work every day, everybody going into the stores or the distribution centers or everywhere else had to go into work.
