And when you watch Aller, you kind of see a robotic guy play.
It was kind of the knock on Carson Beck.
One thing I heard, Carson's really good if the pocket's clean.
He can look like an NFL starter.
But when he starts getting blitz, when he starts getting pressure, when things start going poorly, he kind of collapses.
Allard, to me, is just hit or miss no matter what.
And part of the reason they love Ty Simpson less than obviously Sean got on board is
It's like his understanding of football.
You do watch him.
He can go through his progressions, his feel for the pocket.
He's a very instinctive football player.
Now, is he physically gifted enough?
If you put Ty Simpson's brain in Drew Aller's body, you probably have the number one overall pick.
But that's not the way it works.
So to me, I think you've got to be careful about the Drew Aller types.
I think I would have a philosophical belief in a draft room.
We just don't ever mess with them.
If I think you have no instincts, that's kind of a deal breaker for me.
I like instinctive players.
Because you've been in college, especially at the highest level.
