And that's what we're aiming to do.
We didn't create this centre to make it only available for those who can afford.
We want to make it there for everybody so everyone can come.
I mean, Β£12.50 is like two machis nowadays, you know what I mean?
And when you say it in kids' terms to them, be here and you're here and come in and you can get burgers inside.
Honestly, they do.
And we have chefs there every day and they prepare fresh, hot meals every day for the young people.
So it's not even like we're giving them just pizzas and chips every day.
It's a new, fresh meal every day.
We're constantly changing the menu, listening to the young people about what they like and what they don't like.
Obviously, we try and slip in as healthy as we can.
But yeah, it's just about giving the kids the best place they can.
Somewhere safe where they can have a laugh with their mates and not be scared on the streets and get into the wrong kind of crowds and that, yeah.
Yeah so we're part of the Taurus Foundation and they're part of the charity side of Taurus and
be fair without them we wouldn't be able to do what we could do today we're not government funded that's all we do look for grants and look for funding and look for help but we're not government funded that's all so it's worked on our benefits in some ways because we can do a lot of things that other youth clubs can't do and all the direct profits from tourists go to the foundation which allows us to keep the memberships cheap it allows us to give free meals every day and that's a big part of what we do at firefighters yeah try and support them young people i mean
Just this, no, last year alone we did 1,400 meals served.
This year, up to this point, we're on to doubling that at the moment.
So it's showing how much there's a need out there.
Some young people who come in, I know for a fact it's the only hot meal they'll have that night.
So, you know, we're shoving it down and we're giving them extras.
