So you can actually, like, I can say my mom wants a copy of my book, but I don't really want her to read my book that much because it says a few things about her that aren't flattering.
That's true.
And she'll never buy the book.
So I can say to her stuff like,
They only gave me two copies, and then two guys from work took them, and then I don't want to ask for more because I don't want to get into trouble.
That's handy.
And she'll be like, yeah, don't get fired.
You don't want to get your publisher mad at you.
And they'll buy into it.
I think they want to buy into it.
I think there's a certain amount of denial your parents are willing.
I'd be like, Mom, let me tell you about the time I tried crack once.
I'm making salad.
Right, yeah.

My mom used to, when we did Loveline on MTV, she'd say like –
She'd say like, Eddie Gravitch is in town and wants to see you guys tape a show.
But if it's going to be, I don't want to get you in trouble.
