OpenAI, the maker of ChatGPT, had an ad about its computer coding assistant.

Google ran one that showed AI making realistic images.

Meta showed off its Oakley AI glasses.

And Anthropic, which makes a chatbot called Claude, took a dig at OpenAI, which recently started testing ads in ChatGPT.

None of those or any of the others that focused on or used AI did particularly well with viewers.

That's according to USA Today's ad meter ratings.

The top ad there was for Budweiser, and it featured a Clydesdale horse and a bald eagle.

The European Commission, which is the executive arm of the EU, says features like TikTok's infinite scroll, autoplay and push notifications are in breach of the EU's Digital Services Act.

It says those and other design features, quote, fuel the urge to keep scrolling and shift the brain of users into autopilot mode.

That may lead to compulsive behavior and could harm the physical and mental well-being of its users, including minors.

It says TikTok disregarded important indicators of compulsive use and failed to implement reasonable, proportionate, and effective measures to mitigate risks.

TikTok says in a statement the findings are false and misleading, and it'll challenge them.
