And within those pitches, I think what you build on is just trying to be a little bit more efficient and like the middle counts, the one strike counts.
and just being unpredictable with his stuff.
You know, I really think there's opportunities for him to get some quicker outs with his fastball kind of in the middle accounts, you know, without giving away approach or our game plan or whatever.
But I think his stuff is good enough to where he can do that really to any lineup.
hopefully just building off of that and just saying okay there's going to be some innings maybe where you know hey here's 10 or 11 pitches and let's get back to let's get back in the dugout that that would be something um i would love to see and he's bought he's bought into that now you know being okay not punching out 12 he's okay with yeah yeah i mean i i think you know i think the mentality really is just like hey you're the strikeouts are going to come because of your stuff yeah and there's going to be a time where hopefully you look up in the fifth inning you're sitting at
you know, 60 pitches as opposed to 75.
You know, yeah, go for a punch out.
But just kind of picking the spots to do that.
And still, it's not trying to get the strikeout with two strikes.
You know what I mean?
Not trying to strike everyone out on a 1-1 count, things like that.
Everything is easier, Jeff, with that.
I mean, everything is with...
I mean, I think when you're scoring or you get out to a lead or you're adding on to a lead, you can kind of just take a deep breath.
Everyone really, you know what I mean?
And just say, OK, what do I need to do right now in the moment?
You know, as opposed to I need to be perfect.
I need to do this.
I need to do that.
I need to make this pitch.
