He loves to pitch.
We're lucky to have him because it's not an easy thing to do to have a couple high-stress outings that are two, and you're closing out games, then you're asked to come in and get four outs.
We try to be aware of it.
It's kind of why we kept him the one last game at home against Miami.
He's just been so damn consistent and so good since we've gotten him.
I mean, I think for one, it's just, you know, it's a really, it's a good pitch.
And it's not just, hey, Jeff, throw your slider.
It's throw it where you want to throw it.
And I think you pair that with, you know, I think when he's good, a lot of glove side stuff, even fastball slider.
It's just he has three plus pitches.
And, you know, as you're evaluating yourself and kind of the players and their performance and how they're deploying their pitches, we thought it was an opportunity to throw a few more to both runnies and lefties.
And him and the catchers have done a great job.
You know, I don't think he's going to be, you know, the Sergio Romo type where it's all sliders, you know, if you will.
But it's a pitch that has performed well.
And when you're executing it, it's going to be pretty good.
Yeah, I mean, that's where the kind of the cat and mouse game comes into where you have to just, you know, you have to throw the other pitches to split the heater at the right time and in the right spot.
It just comes down to location.
It comes down to executing it.
