Faraday questions Bill Woods' wife, only to be reassured of what he already knows, that Bill Woods had no enemies.

As we return to our story, it is shortly after the second killing.

And Mary Wesley and Shorty are in Blackie's apartment when Faraday and John Simmons, employer of the two dead men, break into Blackie's bedroom.
