But it is 12.5% slower than the M1.
So it is, again, ballpark how much memory bandwidth does this have?
It has M1-ish memory bandwidth, a little bit less, a little bit less.
SSDs is a real wild card for me and benchmarks.
So it comes to a 256 or 512 with some important differences.
We'll get through in a second.
I don't know what the SSD speeds are going to be like, because honestly, I don't know what the SSD speeds are like in phones.
And I imagine the A18 pros interface to storage is,
is the bottleneck here like however fast an a18 pro can talk to storage that's how fast this is going to go even though max like any of the m chips are probably designed with faster storage especially like the modern ones are designed with faster and faster access to storage whether it's higher clock speed or wider buses or both we'll have to see what the ssd performance is like on the a18 pro because i don't know how to how to like handicap that so like
If your workload depends a lot on big sequential reads of high bandwidth stuff, maybe it won't perform like an M1 for you.
But if it doesn't need to do that and it's just like CPU bound, it should perform kind of like an M1 to you.
Well, keep in mind that if you buy one of the new displays, either one, it has a more powerful SOC.
Because the Studio Display has an A19, and the Studio Display XDR has an A19 Pro, and this is an A18 Pro.
So, yes, if you buy this and attach it to one of those external monitors, which it will drive...
Yeah, your monitor has a better SOC.
I wonder if it has more RAM, too.
Yes, that is definitely true.
