Are we doing this or are we not?

It's like when the trash can was still there.

It's like, I do want a new Mac Pro, but at a certain point, it's just embarrassing.

You've got to stop selling the trash can for the same price they've always sold it for.

And Apple's like, nope, we're going to sell it until the day it gets replaced.

or something else happens.

So anyway, you know, my audience saw this and was like, oh, John complaining about the Mac Pro again.

It is kind of embarrassing that it's still got the M2 Ultra.

And it is, you know, I'm usually making fun of my Intel Mac Pro, which is, you know, horrendously slow by modern standards.

But

This is the current Mac Pro that you can buy at Apple.com today.

They're still selling it with a straight face.

And the MacBook Neo is statistically significantly faster in single core.

Now, as I said in the specs of the show, it is slower in multi-core than the M2 Ultra.

GPU is way slower than the M2 Ultra.

The M2 Ultra has way more memory bandwidth.

The M2 Mac Pro can be filled with way more RAM, yada, yada, yada.

But I don't have to explain this to, quote unquote, my audience on Mastodon because they all know,

my attitude towards the Mac Pro.

They all know what the point of this post was.
