Yeah, well, I'm really speaking on behalf of a community and
We conducted a survey, and I say we, we're the Connemara Chamber of Commerce, conducted a survey two years ago regarding rural planning.
And this is, I suppose, to deal strictly with rural declining population and ageing population.
And we tried to deal with the facts and not to get into the emotion of the whole thing.
But 860 people responded to our survey.
This is a non-line survey conducted in the Connemara area.
Because of the frustration and people have tried to achieve and attain planning permission to live, so they could live and work in their area.
So the overwhelming, I suppose, response to our survey was that we had some negatives, but the overwhelming response that everybody's in favor of being allowed to build on family land.
And there are a number of reasons for this.
First of all, you know, in order for, you know, let's go to rural Ireland, I suppose.
the salaries and the wages are probably not as high as they are in the cities.
So if you have a plot of land which you can build, that is oftentimes that person's or that family's equity in their house.
So if they've got a free site or they bring a site and they can build a house, that allows them to, that's their equity.
