We got Boston and OKC going at it.
Those are the four lowest turnover teams in the league, and they might be the four best teams in the league.
Do you think there's anything to that idea?
Is there something about the NBA right now that is more of a possession game than it used to be?
I mean, I think...
A couple of things.
I think in terms of the late possessions and the way this thing unraveled for the Spurs, it was remarkable how much San Antonio's possessions ended up going exactly where the Nuggets defense wanted them to go, which is, you know, all of your Q dribble penetration is going to end with a Keldon Johnson catch and shoot three, a Dylan Harper catch and shoot three, a Harrison Barnes catch and shoot three.
And those are not bad shots.
But I think part of the thing is every Nuggets possession is,
was going exactly to Murray and Jokic in some combination over and over and over.
And they were kicking out and making plays.
And you could say the same about, you know, finding Spencer Jones in the lane or Cam Johnson certainly had his moments down the stretch.
But it just felt like a team that knew what its shots were versus one that didn't.
And maybe that's somewhat having Wimby not in the mix and you can get to your stuff more accessibly and more easily when he's out there.
But I'm not even sure that San Antonio, when Wimby plays, knows exactly where and how it wants to go in crunch time.
Denver has done this over and over and over.
It felt like old hat for them.
It just doesn't seem fun.
Like, it seems fun being a big enough wing that you can bulldoze your way through other wings.
